Cosmetic

  • Paint/Body: This girl is no rusty bucket but definitely has some rust bubbles, pops and holes. Front fenders have a few spots, the hood has a couple pops. The driver side door has some rust bubbles along the bottom and around the mirror. Hinge pockets rust free. Stepsides are in overall great shape. Couple of dings in the bed but no significant issues. Passenger door has most of the rust that is present. The drip rails, back of the cab, the top and bottom of the door, all have some pops and bubbling. Overall though the main panels of the truck are in good condition. Bodylines are arrow straight so no major body work needed, just a few spots to fix and repaint if you want or just leave it as is for a cool shop truck look. The video does a great job pointing out the above mentioned issues so don't forget to watch!
  • Interior: Beautiful interior. The bench seat is in great shape with newer upholstery. Black carpet kit is older but looks nice and clean. Door panels and headliner match the seat and are sharp!
  • Glass/Windows: The big back window is a major bonus when looking at these trucks! The windows roll up and down easily. All the glass is in great shape with only one small crack in the passenger window. Newer weather-stripping all around.
  • Trunk/Bed: There are no major dings or dents in the bed. Older wood paneling is in good shape for its age. Very minimal rust on the exterior and underneath.
  • Undercarriage: The underneath of this truck is very clean. In fact its why we find the rust on the passenger side so peculiar, this underneath is pretty impressive considering the originality of this truck. Inner fender wells very solid with no rust. Driver front fender has one small spot. No rust on the frame. Original floor pans with minimal spots and patches. Underneath not only has very little rust but is also very clean in general.
  • Wheels/Tires: New Hankook matching tires. Original wheels with dog dish hub caps

Mechanical

  • Drivetrain: The truck has the original 235 with a 4 speed on the floor. Foot peddle start-up. She fires right up and drives straight and strong. Only a minimal amount of play in the steering wheel. Doesn't wander around the road. She also has the 12 volt alternator upgrade.
  • Lights/Electrical: All the headlights, tail-lights, brake lights, turn signals and even wipers work. Aftermarket gauges are present but not currently hooked up.
  • Brakes: Emergency brake works. Power disc brakes stop great!
  • Power Options: Power disc brakes stop great and don't pull to either side.
